My first trip to Seattle!

We went to Washington state for 5 days to hang out with Dan's brother's family. It was so wonderful to see such a beautiful new place.

We ate delicious barbecue, went to Pikes Place market, Greg made us homemade bolgogi, saw some good movies and....

hung out and played with Abigail! We went to the park every day, got to know the dog Spot really well, went to toddler swim time at the rec center and overall had a blast. She's so 2 years old and its so much fun.

Uncle Dan and Abby!

This is what I've been reading

This past week I finished book 10 of the 14 book long Wheel of Time epic series. I never knew I was a fantasy loving girl before this. They're pretty exciting and frustrating at the same time, but they are so worth it.

The reason why book 10 is so monumental is because it completes an entire book shelf. Woot woot!

(If you're counting, there are 11 books there. That little skinny one of the far left is the kind of like a prologue, but a whole book long.)

Bianca's baby shower!!

For Bianca's baby shower I completed the cutest craft I have ever created. I made cupcakes and put them in a box and then Daniel and I tied bows. Final project:

Yup. A lot of work for party favors. Worth it for B. Worth it to know that I am capable to complete such a Martha Stewart-esque endeavor.
Can't wait for those little baby girls to come!

Graduation

I graduated from Brigham Young University on April 21. My parents and grandparents were able to come out and celebrate. It was a really fun week, Easter included.

Surprisingly, there has been a noticeable difference in the way I feel since graduation. Graduating is unlike a birthday, where one day you're 21 and the next you're 22 and nothing else besides that number is different. Now when I wake up in the morning I don't think about looming assignments or readings I need to catch up on. I simply read what I want, do what I want, and go to work! Hooray!

MOAB

We were able to go to Moab for the weekend and hike around Arches National Park. We got really lucky and had fabulous weather. It truly was luck for Spring time in Utah because it was snowing the next day. Here is a picture of us perfectly framed:

Here is Turret arch. We climbed all over this arch and got happily sun burnt and sweaty. I'm so happy I married someone who is a mountain goat just like my self.

Over all it was a great weekend! Thanks to Kelli and Gen for organizing the gang.

Arcade Fire and Local Natives!

Last night Daniel and I went to Arcade Fire and Local Natives. The concert was amazing. It had been so long since I could feel the bass line move my entire body. Local Natives have lots of talent and I hope that they get recording soon to put out a new record. I've been listening to Arcade Fire since my early High School days so it was so great to see them live. I didn't bring my camera to catch any pictures of sweaty Daniel and me or the really awesome light show but I did steal this picture from the interweb:

That is cool, spunky, accordion, xylophone, and drum playing Regine and her husband Win (who is the lead singer). I had no idea they were married until today when I wanted to learn more about how she got so awesome and did some google-ing.

Maybe Daniel and I will start a Grammy winning band one day....
